Mary Lou Lenegar, 83, of Wellston, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, May 11, 2023, at Holzer Assisted Living, Jackson, Ohio. She was born to the late Floyd Albert Murray Sr. and Cora Mae Bishop Murray on May 28, 1939, at home in Richland Township, Vinton County, Ohio near Log Pile. She was a graduate of Wellston High School, a former employee of Hercules Trouser Co. in Wellston, and a homemaker. She enjoyed all of her time spent with her nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death on September 30, 2014, by her husband, Victor Harlan Lenegar; her very close nephew, Robert Greg Murray; brothers Floyd Jr., Lloyd, and Richard; sisters Patricia Murray, Lorraine Speraw, Deloris Bethel, and Doris Dyer. She is survived by her great-niece Kayla Booth ( Nicholas ) of McArthur; great great-nephew, Asher Ryan Booth; great great-niece, Emersyn Rose Booth; sister, Betty Maxwell, of Columbus, Ohio; sister-in-law, Clara Murray, of Hamden; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may gather at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston on Monday from 5 until 8 P.M. Services will be Tuesday at 11 A.M. at the Jenkins Chapel with Pastor Dave Washington officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston. The family thanks the National Church Residences Hospice and Holzer Assisted Living for their love and care of Mary Lou.
