John Comer

John Comer, age 70, of Wellston, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 3, 2025. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on August 8, 1954, to the late Garnet M. Comer. He was a 1972 graduate of Oak Hill High School and a U.S. Navy veteran . He was stationed in Guam in the Western Pacific during and after the Vietnam era. He was employed for several years as a food supervisor for Luiginos in Jackson,Ohio. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and golfing with his friends. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his two aunts, Maggie Martin and Sara Rupert Abele, along with Sara's husband, Bill Abele. He is survived by his son, Christopher M. Comer of Wellston; his granddaughter, Aria Comer, of Birmingham, Alabama; his ex wife, Lori Little ( Lorn ) of Wellston; his cousin, Linda Coffey and family, of Oak Hill; and his close friends: Paul Boggs, Paul Boggs Jr., John Boggs, Don Compston, Alan Hayes, Tony Perkins, Phillip Steele, and Mike Woods.
