Jane Massie

Jane L. Massie, 87, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Springfield Regional Medical Center. she was born in Wellston, Ohio, on July 5, 1928, to the late Clarence Snider and Mildred Pierpont Snider Smith Schweitzer. She was a graduate of Wellston High School and attended Ohio University in the School of Music. She was a former secretary for the city of Kettering, Ohio. She and her late husband of 61 years, William D. Massie, ( who passed away in 2010) were former residents of Avon Park, Florida. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tonia Massie, in 2004, and her brother, James Snider, in July of 2015.

She is survived by her daughter, Jill Coyan of Boulder Junction, Wi; three grandsons, Kyle (Nicole) Schweickart, Steve ( Lindsey) Schweickart all of Dayton, Ohio, and Nick Massie; a brother, Jerry ( Ruth) Snider, of Grant's Pass, Oregon; a brother-in-law, Mike ( Patty) Massie, of Wellston; a sister-in-law, Cora Snider, of Wellston; and nieces , nephews, and cousins.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16 at 1:00 P.M. at the Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston with Pastor Leland Brehm officiating.
