James L. Remy

James L. Remy, 77, passed away with his family by his side at his home in McArthur, Ohio, on Friday afternoon, August 25, 2023. He was born in Ray, Ohio, on November 3, 1945, to the late Clarence H. Remy and Garnet Reynolds Remy. He was employed by Buckeye Automatic for 42 years. He enjoyed going to the Easy Rider Rodeo in Chillicothe for years. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers : Bill, Tommy, and Marvin Remy; a sister, Mary Lou Fain; a grand daughter, Angelia Kirby; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Remy. He is survived by his wife, Jenna J. Sayre Remy; 8 children; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Remy of Allensville and Roger ( Betty ) Remy of Coalton; a sister, Linda ( Fred ) Coffey of Wellston; a brother-in-law, James Fain, of Wellston; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may gather at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston on Tuesday from 6 until 8 P.M. Services will be Wedenesday at 1 P.M. at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Harper officiating.
