Charlene Clark Mayfield

Charlene Clark Mayfield, 96 and a half, went peacefully home with her Lord on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at her home in Wellston, Ohio, while surrounded by her family. She was born in Wellston on June 18, 1927, daughter of the late Charles C. Clark and Delfa M. Styles Clark. She was a former resident of Heber Springs, Arkansas, where she was married forty years to the late Donald Wayne Mayfield. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dennis White; a sister, Shirley Bagwell; and three brothers : Thomas Clark, Charles Clark Jr., and Arnold Clark. She loved to garden and grew beautiful flowers at her home in Wellston. She was a member of the Church of God. She is survived by two brothers, Don ( Sharon ) Clark and Robert ( Linda ) Clark of Wellston; Three sisters : Ruth Salmons of Hamden and Barb Clark and Cathy Barnes of Wellston; and nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 14th, at Salem Cemetery in Wellston, Ohio. Arrangements are by the Jenkins Funeral Chapel of Wellston.
