Bert Luster Jr.

Bert Luster Jr., age 80 of Hamden, Ohio, went peacefully home with his Lord on Tuesday May 14, 2024, at CareCore at Westmoreland in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born in Martin County, Kentucky on February 3, 1944, to the late Bert and Nellie Maynard Luster. He retired from his general construction work and spent his free time camping, motorcycling, flea marketing, watching old John Wayne westerns, and taking care of his cat, Sweet Pea, who survives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lavada M. Luster on June 11, 2014. Also by three sisters, two infant brothers, and two sons-in-law, Paul Cecil Jr. and David Beyer Jr. He is survived by two daughters, Diane Cecil of McArthur and Sandy Beyer of New Plymouth; a son, Randy ( Yvonne ) Luster of Wellston; Matt ( Adrienne ) Hatfield who was raised in Bert's guardianship;a brother, Floyd Luster of Columbus, Ohio; five cherished grandchildren : Marie Reffitt, Ben Cecil, Cassie Beyer, Kelsey Beyer, and Brian Rose; twelve precious great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may gather at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston,Ohio, on Sunday at 1 P.M. Services will follow at 2 P.M. officiated by John Pelletier CLP.
